Abdu’l-Bahá, the son of Bahá’u’lláh and the Center of His Covenant, passed from this world in the early hours of November 28, 1921, in Haifa. His ascension marked the close of a life devoted to service, compassion, justice, and the promotion of unity among all peoples. Abdu’l-Bahá is remembered as the perfect exemplar of the teachings of Bahá’u’lláh—one whose words and actions consistently reflected love, humility, and service to humanity.
This Holy Day is observed with reverence and reflection. Bahá’ís gather to pray, share accounts of His life, and contemplate His example of steadfastness and service.
The Ascension of `Abdu’l-Bahá will be observed at the Scottsdale Bahá’í Center on the evening of November 27. The gathering will begin at 11:00 PM, with prayers and quiet reflection. The Tablet of Visitation will be read at 1:00 AM, on November 28. All are welcome to join in this time of remembrance and devotion.
